Who we are

The Chilean Pension Fund Administrators' Association is a private trade organization that includes all the AFPs in the country. It started operating on 14th October 1981, under the name "Social Security Development Committee", just over five months after the launching of the Private Individual Capitalization System. Its creation was the result of the interest expressed by the presidents of the various administrators in having a channel for publicising and improving the Private Pension System.

In April 1984 it was agreed that the by-laws of the Social Security Development Committee should be modified, at which point it was renamed the "Chilean Pension Fund Administrators' Association".
